Every detail of the hotel was perfectly fine, all the staff were helpful. The rooms were brand-new with a tv with comfortable beds. I liked to be close to a train station.

I asked for family king room with TV and tea, had a really comfortable stay. The place had a family atmosphere. This hotel was set in a central area just next door to rail station, Park and an Indian restaurant.

If I had read any of the reviews prior to booking this hotel, I would have avoided staying there even if I had been charged nothing. As it was, even the £30. that I paid was an extortionate rate to pay for staying just one night in the place. It is dirty beyond belief, and the "decor"/ facilities belong in a "Grade 1 Listed" museum of typical 50s/60s design - (when thoroughly "deep cleaned"), - not in what anyone should expect of a purportedly "AA 3 STAR" accommodation, No Matter What Price is asked!!

The staff were really friendly and helpful, notifying me ahead of time by email that their credit card machine was down and I would need cash or check. Their restaurant and bar were closed, but they helped me order takeaway. They were attentive and kind. Whiile the hotel is shabby and needs work, the room I had was large and had nice features such as a good workspace and a large bay window looking out over a park, good chairs and a bed that was lumpy and not great, but good enough that I slept well.
It seemed clear to me that this hotel is in transition between an older more expensive and elegant hotel and a traveller and business type hotel that will be cheaper but convenient and hopefully adequate. At the present time, there are problems:1. credit cards not accepted. 2. no bar or restaurant 3. I paid 10pounds extra for a 'full english breakfast' that turned out to be stale croissants, no eggs, nothing hot, --not very good. 4. wi-fi in the lobby but only if you pay in the rooms.

The staff were helpful. Plenty of free parking.
The hotel was run down and filthy. Carpets covered in cigarette burns and suspicious stains on the fabrics. The toilet hadn't been cleaned since the previous occupant. The breakfast was inedible and the waitress appeared to have had no training in service. The chair lift was broken.

The hotel was very cheap and not worth one penny more than what I paid for it. Location is ok, near the Coventry train station, with bus stops in front of the hotel. The value for money is ok, but do not expect anything more.
The shower was cold, the staff was never very helpful and very slow.

A Disappointing Experience
We faced serious issues from the start. The space reeked of smoke and unkempt conditions. The bathroom lacked cleanliness, and the staff were unhelpful when we raised our concerns.
